Three weeks old / another paternity test

Based on my conversation with her dad today, it's clear this isn't going to be easy. We now have to do a second paternity test. Why on earth didn't I insist he just come to the hospital with David and get it over with the first time? That's what I get for trying to be nice and accommodating, to the detriment of Zoe - more, pointless waiting, all because he's totally in denial. Joy. Thank god my friends keep reminding me it will all be ok. I know that, but it's good to be reminded because this is really frustrating and upsetting.

Zoe is busy eating, sleeping and making dirty diapers. The Dr. said on Monday that she has not gained her birth weight back and since she is now three weeks old, that's a problem. He's giving me until Thursday with the fenugreek and pumping, hopefully that will make more milk and she'll gain more weight. She's 7 pounds 9 ounces right now. Her hair is growing and she is adorable. I love her so. After the apt. mom and I went to eat and people are just amazed at how tiny and cute she is. Somebody said, "She looks fake, like a doll." It was funny. I said, "Well, she's real."

On Friday, 5/11/07 Parker met Zoe and asked, "Is that my baby sister?" Marilyn said when he woke up in the morning, he asked, "Where's my baby sister?" The next night he moved to one side of his bed and said, "Look, Gaga - if I move way over here there's lots of room for my baby sister!" So cute!
